The NEAR-Fest Flea Market: The Ultimate Ham Radio Treasure Hunt!
NEAR-Fest is home to the largest outdoor
amateur radio-related flea market in the Northeast! Whether you’re searching for rare radio gear, vintage electronics, or other unique finds, our legendary tailgating area is the place to be.
To enter and shop at the flea market, you need only a valid admission ticket — nothing else is required!
If you want to sell your gear, a tailgating pass is available. With a tailgating pass, you can drive in, set up, and sell from your vehicle for the entire duration of the Fest.
Camp Right in the Flea Market Area
One of the best parts of NEAR-Fest: you can camp right on your tailgating spot. Grab a camping pass, arrive as early as Thursday at 3 PM, set up your rig and your spread, and stay all weekend. No packing up between days, no reloading the truck, no hotel drive.
Setup times, overnight-pass options, and rules are on the Camping page. Add a camping or tailgating pass to your order on the Tickets page.
Good to Know for Sellers and Buyers
- Rain or shine. The flea market runs outdoors in any weather. Bring tarps and be ready to cover your gear.
- Bring cash and cards. Most tailgaters take cash; some accept cards. An ATM is on-site inside the Buck Barn.
- Come early for the best finds. Serious buyers walk the field at first light on Friday. The best deals go fast.
- Golf carts for hauling. If your find is bigger than expected, our free porter service can help you get it back to your vehicle.
- Sellers, plan your setup. Bring tables, chairs, tarps, tie-downs, extension cords, and any signage you want. Power is limited outdoors; bring a battery or generator* if you need it.
- * Generators must be run considerately. If nearby attendees object to noise, you may be asked to shut the generator off.
- Talk-in on 444.200 (+) PL 186.2 (Mt. Uncanoonuc, N1PA) if you have questions on arrival.
When & Where to Find Us
NEAR-Fest is held the first full weekend of May and October, every year.
Hillsborough County 4H Fairgrounds | 17 Hilldale Lane, New Boston, NH
For ticket prices and passes, see Purchasing Tickets »
Unlike other flea markets, we don’t assign specific spaces. Tailgaters can take up as much room as reasonably needed to display their items.
Need help moving your finds? NEAR-Fest operates several golf carts for portering, free of charge! So explore, buy, sell, and be part of the best ham radio flea market experience in the Northeast!

ATM
By request, we have added an ATM on site so you can get the cash you need for that perfect item you did not know you needed!
It is located INSIDE the Buck Barn (big red building).
To keep the flea market bustling with sellers and great deals, we ask that all tailgating spots be used for selling, not just parking. Vehicles in the flea market area that are not actively selling will be asked to move to the designated free parking area, even if a tailgating pass has been purchased.
