Club Pass Program
We invite all radio clubs and associations to participate in NEAR-Fest together.
We know that NEAR-Fest is a social event for many groups. Many club members come to NEAR-Fest to socialize with fellow club members and friends who might not be interested in our other activities. To support this effort, the Club Early Entry Pass program was created. Additionally, we call on our club supporters for a few extra volunteers to help us run NEAR-Fest.
Club passes allow clubs to send in up to two members in two vehicles starting at 3:00 pm on Thursday and running through gate opening on Friday to set up their club space with tables, tents, and displays such as signs and banners. The intent of this is to allow the rest of the attending members a known place to go once the gates open.
Please note that this is not an early bird shopper or “vendor” admission. Consequently, no setting up, displaying merchandise for sale, or selling can commence until after the gates open for admission. This is strictly enforced, and offenders will lose the club entry privilege.
Pass Usage
Your club pass is NOT an admission ticket or a tailgating pass. Its purpose is to allow you early access. All vehicle occupants must already have admission tickets, and the vehicle must have a tailgating pass (if camping, you will need the correct pass for that also).
You still need to stop at the entry gate to present your Club Pass to the attendant, who will also check for your other tickets.
Service Requirement
All clubs participating in this program must make a minimum of two volunteers available during each NEAR-Fest.
Club Administration and Issuance
The club coordinator issues new passes for the upcoming season each year. Passes will not be reissued if your club fails to meet the service requirement in the previous year.
How do you get a Club Pass?
All bona fide clubs and organizations are eligible to participate. If you have any questions, please contact our club coordinator, Nick Kettle.
